RETURNS

Our return policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it, and it must be in the original packaging. To make a return, please email hello@twistedextracts.ca and include your order number and item you wish to return. To complete your return, we require a proof of purchase. Once we have proof of purchase, we will send you a return address for you to send the item you wish to return. 

REFUNDS (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you’re approved, then your refund will be processed, and an email money transfer (EMT) will be sent to the account and/or email address used to pay for the item within 10 business days of receiving your returned item.

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again and your email inbox and junk folder.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at hello@twistedextracts.ca.

SALE ITEMS (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

EXCHANGES (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you would like to exchange the item you purchased for the same item, send us an email at hello@twistedextracts.ca and we will send you an address to send your item that you wish to exchange to.

SHIPPING

To return your product, you should email hello@twistedextracts.ca to receive further shipping instructions.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

Please Note: If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

There are 2 types of information that we can learn about you as you browse and use this Site. They are:

Internet-Related Information Gathered Passively

We collect Internet-related Information from visitors to our Site, including the referring URL, your IP address, which browser you used to come to the Site, the country, state, or province you are located in, the pages of our Site that you viewed during your visit, and any search terms entered on our Site.  In addition, for mobile users, we gather information on your mobile device and operating system.  We also track users’ traffic patterns throughout their online sessions, including which pages or specific URLs you view while using the Site. When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

SECTION 4- HOW CAN YOUR INFORMATION BE USED?

If you provide us with your consent, we may share your Personal Information with our affiliates and business partners with whom we have joint marketing arrangements. If you do not want us to share your Personal Information with our marketing affiliates and business partners, then please let us know by contacting us at hello@twistedextracts.ca.

We employ other companies to perform certain functions on our behalf, such as fulfilling orders, delivering packages, and services related to the design, maintenance, analysis, and improvement of this Site and our database and related systems. These companies have access to your information. Regardless of whether you have provided us with consent, we will share your information with those companies that perform certain functions on our behalf under contract to us, and as may be necessary to comply with applicable laws, police investigations, or in legal proceedings where disclosure of such information is relevant and permitted by law. Twisted Extracts will also assign, sell, license, or otherwise transfer to a third party your name, address, email address, member name, and any other Personal Information in connection with an assignment, sale, joint venture, or other transfer or disposition of a portion or all of the Twisted Extracts service, or the assets, business, or stock of Twisted Extracts.

 

SECTION 5 – WordPress

Our store uses the content management system called WordPress. They provide us with the online e-commerce plugin (WooCommerce) that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored in the database that powers the WordPress’s website.  Your data is stored on a secure server with an SSL certificate behind a firewall.

Payment:

WooCommerce is the e-commerce system utilized on www.twistedextracts.ca. The online shopping experience as well as order history, shipping information, taxes, user account management, the checkout process, etc. is all handled on-site. Once an order is completed through the website, the final payment is completed through the Interac e-Transfer system which is off-site. The Interac e-Transfer system Interac e-Transfer is a convenient way to send, request and receive money directly from one bank account to another. All you need is access to online banking through a participating financial institution, and you can vendor request money to anyone with an email address or mobile phone number and bank account in Canada — without sharing any personal financial information. SECTION 6 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES 

Internet Log Files

Twisted Extracts and our third party web analytics vendor may maintain log files which contain IP addresses.  An IP address is a numeric address that may be assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider.  In general, we use log files to monitor traffic on our Site and to troubleshoot technical problems.

Analytic Metrics Tools

Twisted Extracts uses third party proprietary analytics metrics technologies such as Google Analytics to collect non-personal information when you use our online products and services on your personal computer or mobile device.  These tools and technologies use server log files, Cookies, and other tracking technologies to collect and analyze broad demographic information about the visitors to our Site.

Other third party providers

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. As an example, if you are located in the US and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the Canada, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under Canadian legislation.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

SECTION 7 – SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

Orders are completed on-site through our secure checkout process. However, no information related to payments for orders is completed on-site. The payments are handled through Interac e-Transfer which is an off-site third party system.

Interac e-Transfer is a fast, secure and convenient way to send money to anyone in Canada from within the security of your online banking service. It uses email or text messaging for fast notification to the recipient that a transfer has been sent, while the participating financial institutions transfer the funds using established and secure banking procedures.

To send Interac e-Transfer, all you need is an email address, online access to your bank account at a participating financial institution and the email address or mobile phone number of the person that you are sending money to. Email and/or text messages carry the notification while the financial institutions use existing payment networks to transfer the money to any financial institution in Canada.

You are not sending money by email or text message; only the notification travels over the Internet or over the air to advise the recipient that the transfer has been initiated and to provide instructions on how to deposit the money. The money always resides safely at a financial institution, and is transferred through existing payment networks that financial institutions have used for years to settle cheques, bank machine deposits and withdrawals.

Security measures have been built into the system, including:

• Encryption technology
• Confidential user IDs and passwords issued by financial institutions
• Secure login process
• A security question and answer to ensure only the intended recipient receives the money
• 128-bit browser encryption
